Baros Recording Studio

Recording studio and multimedia production facility in Slovenia, EU

About

Baros Recording Studio is the result of my long-time pursuit of creating a cosy, open and great sounding space dedicated to producing beautiful and meaningful records.

I’m passionate about recording and producing music. I’m always striving to capture the most natural sound possible while making sure the experience is always fun and comfortable for musicians. Since the launch in 2014, I’ve had the privilege to work with world renowned artists such as Sergio Assad, Rene Izquierdo, Matthew McAllister, Bardic Trio and Marko Feri on a regular basis, producing over 30 albums, 200 music videos and several documentary films. I’m also co-founder and editor of Virtual Guitar Orchestra, global guitar initiative, and have produced dozens of virtual orchestra videos featuring artists like Yo-Yo Ma, David Russell, Ralph Towner, Pepe Romero, Cañizares, Yamandu Costa, Berta Rojas, Ana Vidović and Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.

We are able to accommodate soloists and chamber groups up to a quintet. The studio is acoustically treated and while it is a controlled environment, the room is comfortable to play in and not dry-sounding. We are only using high-end equipment (full list) such as Schoeps and Earthworks microphones, preamps/converters from Metric Halo and Earthworks, Blackmagic Design cinema cameras and Sigma ART lenses.

The studio is located in the countryside, only 20 minutes drive from Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana.
